Everything you need to get up and running.

Getting started

  1. Download the latest release from the Download page.
  2. Run Glean.exe — no installer required.
  3. Activate by pressing Win + Shift + G.
  4. Select any region on screen — Glean extracts and copies the text.

Translation

To enable translation, open Settings (right-click the system tray icon) and enter your Google Translate API key. Set your target language using its BCP-47 code (e.g. pl for Polish, de for German).

Translation is optional — Glean works fully offline for OCR without any API key.

System requirements

  • Windows 10 Build 19041 or Windows 11
  • 64-bit processor
  • No additional runtime required (ships as a single .exe)
